My journey as an artist began at a very young age growing up in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. My mother taught me to draw birds with stick feet. I enjoyed drawing so much that a few years later, and with lots of practice, I was able to make the stick feet look real! After high school, I headed to nearby Maryville College to study fine art. I then attended Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville studying commercial graphic design.
Designs by Pinkie was born in 2005 along with my son Nathan. After working full-time for years for local marketing firms, I decided to stay at home with my son and start a career as a freelance graphic artist.
My business has grown and changed tremendously throughout the years from graphic design services to commissioned art, book illustrations and mural projects. Going on 16 years in business and 24 years of experience, I’m passionate about creating new designs every day whether it be digital or fine art. I’m thankful to be able to use my talents and experience to help others grow their own businesses.
